The Dental Assistant Online Course at Coastal Medical Training Institute LLC prepares each student for employment as an Entry-Level Dental Assistant. Students will gain the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully pass a certification exam.
As a Dental Assistant, you will perform clinical duties under the direction of a dentist. Clinical duties may include equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during dental procedures and treatment, and providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures. May perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Dental Assistants will also record treatment information in patient records and expose dental diagnostic x-rays. One will be able to perform duties in all fields of dentistry, such as Orthodontics, General Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Prosthodontics, and Periodontics. You can be trained on the job to work the front desk of a dental practice, or you can work for a traveling dental unit, in a dental laboratory, conduct as-needed services, and more.
The Dental Assistant Online Training Course is a fourteen-week accelerated online course. Your instructor is an expert in the field with 20 years of chair-side experience and nearly 20 years of Dental Assistant Instruction. We provide students with the newest innovative learning platform that allows students to do their clinical training via a virtual, interactive activity, which is now an approved form of clinical plus, students have the “option” to download our shadowing form which allows them to take to dentist offices in their area to obtain shadowing/clinical hours.
This course has been very beneficial in training students in the field to obtain a job! Our students are working across the country! We train students on how to obtain a job in the field by teaching interviewing skills, and we teach how to negotiate your salary and future raises.
Students must be at least 18years of age or older. Must provide government issued picture ID and High School Diploma or G.E.D. Licensing and Certification requirements are not the same in every state and may include educational testing, and experiential requirements beyond those offered in Coastal Medical Training’s Dental Assistant Training Program. Most states do not require any formal education for entry-level Dental Assisting.

Dental Assistant Training Program Details
There is a stunning, faster than the average job growth rate of 5 to 7% for Dental Assistants. The national median wages are $19.27 hourly or $40,080 annually. We will empower you with hourly or salary negotiation skills.
There are no prerequisites to becoming a dental assistant. You must be at least 17 years of age to take the course.
- Coastal Medical Training Dental Assistant Course costs only $799.00 + $50 registration fee. This includes RDA exam prep and Fee! Payment plans available or Use PayPal Pay Later and other payment options!
- Fourteen (14) week online course with optional shadowing and/or clinical.
- Students must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to take the course.
- If a Dental Assistant will be required to take dental x-rays, then they may need to take the dental radiology exam to obtain a license, depending on the state requirements. We teach exactly how to take the required x-rays needed for the exam. CMTI teaches exactly how to take an FMX which is a series of 20 dental x-rays required.
