What You’ll Get

As a Dental Assisting student in our program, you’ll learn dental anatomy, chairside assisting concepts, instrument and sterilization procedures, infection control, and patient communication. Interactive virtual simulations help build skill confidence. Your training also includes preparation for the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) exam, so you graduate ready to pursue entry-level Dental Assisting positions with strong foundational knowledge.

208 Training Hours

Complete 208 hours of Dental Assistant training through online coursework, instructor-led instruction, virtual skill simulations, and step-by-step learning activities. Graduate prepared to pursue RDA certification and entry-level Dental Assistant opportunities.

Interactive Virtual Learning

CMTI combines interactive online coursework, instructor-led Zoom sessions, and Virtual Interactive Clinical Training to help students develop practical skills and confidence. Mississippi students enrolled in this program are also required to complete an in-person clinical/hands-on training component in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Six Months Full Access

You’ll receive an extra 6 months of access to the Dental Assisting Program after your course is completed. Work through the lessons on your own time. We suggest setting aside 1.5 hours a day to make steady progress.

Preparation for Exams

Prepare to sit for the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification exam offered by American Medical Technologists (AMT). Our program provides the knowledge, training, and instructor support to help you prepare for certification.

Dental Assistant

Course Requirements

The Coastal Medical Training Dental Assistant Course costs only $599.00, or 14 weekly payments of just $43.00
(Weekly payment plans available through CMTI Training Institute or flexible options with AfterPay, Klarna, or PayPal Pay Later)
Fourteen (14) week online course with optional shadowing
Weekly Zoom meetings available with a Certified Expert Instructor
Students have access to Certified Expert Instructors throughout the course for guidance and support.
If a Dental Assistant will be required to take dental x-rays, they may need to complete a Dental Radiology Exam through a community college or dental school in their area to obtain a license, depending on state requirements.
CMTI teaches exactly how to take the required x-rays needed for this exam, including how to complete a full FMX (20 dental x-rays).
Students must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to enroll
All students must provide a valid government-issued photo ID
Must have Hepatitis B vaccination to shadow or to be employed
Must provide a High School Diploma, GED, or official High School Transcripts
Reliable internet access and a web browser or smartphone

🔴 Mississippi Students – Clinical Requirement

Mississippi students enrolling on or after October 5, 2026, are required to complete an in-person clinical/hands-on training component as part of this program. This training will occur in Gulfport, MS. An additional clinical/lab fee of $49.00 applies.

If you’re currently working on your GED, you may begin coursework while completing it.

It was affordable, easy to signup and get started and the site was easy to navigate. I finished the clinical medical assistant course and did it with in 3 months all while working a full time job and raising 3 kids! I recommend this institute for any one looking to get into a  clinical medical assistant career. This program let's you learn at your own pace, which is a plus for someone who works full-time and a single parent..I did the phlebotomy program.. Wasn't very hard..As long as you take good notes, study and log into the zoom meetings..You should be fine..I enjoyed the program so much, I will definitely be enrolling into another soon..
