How much money can I make?
Our students are making anywhere between $14 and $30 an hour starting out… It all depends on the state and location. It is a wide range. We do, however, teach our students interviewing and negotiation skills which are extremely helpful to our students.
What kind of certification will I receive?
Upon successful completion, Clinical Medical Assistant students will test for their CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant) certification through NHA. Medical Administrative Assistants will test for their CMAA (Certified Medical Admirative Assistant) certification through NHA. Dental Assistant students will test for their RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certification through AMT and Phlebotomy Technician students will test for their CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) certification through AAH.
The Medical Billing and Coding students will test for the CBCS certification with National Healthcareer Association
Are the certifications accepted in every state?
Although the certifications are national certifications and are accepted in most, Licensing and Certification requirements are not the same in every state and may include educational, testing, and experiential requirements beyond those offered with CMTI. We recommend that all students research the state that they intend to be employed in. However, we do have students working all over the country. Students are always welcome to contact the certification companies to verify their state.

We train and fully prepare our students to apply for employment immediately after graduation by also helping train students for the interviewing process. Our students are fully confident in themselves when they graduate and are fully prepared to start their new career. We provide students with job search preparation and a FREE customized professional resume.
What happens if I fail my course?
It is extremely rare that a student fails but if that were to happen, students are permitted to “retake” their final exam up to two (2) times with no additional cost to them which means students have a total of three (3) times to take their final exam. We work hard to help our students to pass, and we are very proud to say that our students’ passing rate of those that take their final exam is 99%. If a student were to fail their final exam three (3) times, they will have to retake the entire course at full tuition cost if they wish to continue. We will refund their registration fee once they have successfully completed the course with their second enrollment.
What if I don’t have a computer?
The courses are designed to be taken from a computer, laptop, iPad, tablet, or cellphone. However, we recommend that you use a device that allows you to use a mouse when you are doing your SIMTICS virtual interactive clinical training. Also, your local library should provide computers to use while you are there.
Do you supply computers to students?
We are not a college and therefore do not supply computers.
Do you accept or provide FAFSA, Grants, GI Bill, or student loans etc.?
We are a privately owned Proprietary School and do not provide grants and so forth because we do not receive government, federal or state funding. We do provide high quality education with low-cost tuition. However, we offer financial assistants with loans through Klarna, Afterpay, PayPal-Pay Later and Climb.
Are you BBB accredited?
Yes. We carry an A+ rating.
What is the difference between a “registration” fee and a “tuition fee”?
A registration fee is the administrative charge for enrolling in the school. Tuition fees are the actual cost of the course.
How much is the registration fee?
Students have the option to complete their course as early as they like, or they can complete their course in the required amount of time for their particular course. However, if a student chooses to complete their course early, they will be required to have their course paid off before they can take their final exam and move forward to taking their certification exam.
Can I get an extension on my course?
Yes, if a student needs more time, they will be required to request a two-week extension (at least two weeks before the course is to end to avoid being denied) by emailing mbarr@cmtitraining.com. If a student requires an additional two weeks after the first two weeks have been utilized, then there will be a $75.00 administrative fee that will be charged. In other words, the first two additional weeks are free of charge, but the second two additional two weeks will incur a charge.
Do I get books or any supplies?
Everything you will need is in your online course. We recommend that students take good notes and make flashcards. Note! Only the Phlebotomy training kit is required for the Phlebotomy Technician courses and we provide it. Everything else is withing your courses. The Medical Billing and Coding course students should consider purchasing the current CPT manual and any other coding books they feel they will need such as HCPCS and ICD -10 CM
Are there check-in times?
No. Students have 24-hour access to their online course and SIMTICS modules and can work on it when they make the time.
Do I need to take a CPR class?
We highly recommend that all students become CPR certified. Students can Google providers in their area. It is important to take a course through “American Heart” and be trained in BLS/AED. DA students seeking to take their dental radiology permit, or their RDA certification exam will be required to have it. Students Google to find out their nearest provider. CPR certification fees are not included in course tuition.
Where do DA students take their dental radiology permit exam?
Students can Google (Dental Radiology Permit Seminar/Exam) in their area. They are normally given at a local college or even at some dental offices.
Do I need to have my Dental Radiology permit to get a job as a Dental Assistant?
It is not a requirement in most states to work as an entry level Dental Assistant but in most states Dental offices will want you to have it if they require you to take x rays. Your online course provides all the educational preparation for you to take your Dental Radiology permit exam. Most junior colleges provide the “Dental Radiology seminar and testing” which is normally all day on a Friday or a Saturday. Fees vary between $100 to $340, depending on where you go and are normally given once a month or once every six (6) weeks. (We do not provide Dental Radiology Permit Seminars and Testing.) You can Google “dental radiology permit testing” for your area. Radiology testing fees are not included in course tuition.
What kind of certification or certificate do I get once I finish the course?
Once you have successfully completed the course you will receive a Certificate of Completion from the school then students may schedule to take their National certification exam.
