Our Mission & Vision

CMTI Training Institute began with a vision by Toni Waldron, who started her career as a community education instructor in Gulfport, Mississippi. With a passion for teaching and helping students build healthcare careers, Toni began offering a small, in-person dental assistant course. Her dedication and success in training skilled, confident students quickly gained attention.

Seeing the growing need for flexible, affordable healthcare training, Toni expanded her programs into a fully licensed private career school—Coastal Medical Training Institute (CMTI). Under her leadership, CMTI became the first online proprietary allied health school in the state of Mississippi, offering high-quality, self-paced courses with professional certifications through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), and American Allied Health (AAH).

Today, CMTI serves students across multiple states, combining interactive online learning, and virtual clinical simulations via SIMTICS; an online resource for clinical training, that can be done remotely on a phone, laptop, or computer. At CMTI Training Institute, our mission is simple: to help students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the healthcare field. We believe education should be flexible, affordable, and effective. That’s why our programs are designed for the modern-day student — combining advanced online learning tools, expert guidance, and career-focused training.
