*For Mississippi students enrolled in programs requiring hands-on clinical training, an additional clinical/lab fee applies. The fee is $79 for Clinical Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy Technician students and $49 for Dental Assistant and EKG Technician students.
The applicable clinical/lab fee must be paid by CMTI's stated deadline before the student attends the required clinical session. This clinical/lab fee does not apply to out-of-state students who are not required to attend CMTI's Mississippi clinical/lab.
5. Mississippi Hands-On Clinical Requirements
Effective October 5, 2026, Mississippi students enrolling in Clinical Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician, or Dental Assistant must complete both CMTI's Virtual Interactive Clinical Training and the required in-person clinical/lab at CMTI's Gulfport, Mississippi location.
Mississippi students who reactivate or re-enter an applicable program on or after October 5, 2026 are subject to the current hands-on clinical requirements.
Required clinical components, including supervised live procedures when applicable to the program, must be successfully completed before CMTI can issue the student's Certificate of Completion.
Mississippi students who were active in an applicable program as of October 4, 2026 are not subject to the new mandatory in-person clinical requirement unless they later reactivate or re-enter under the current policy.
6. Payment Method
Students may select one of the payment options offered at enrollment:

CMTI installment-plan payments are automatically processed according to the payment schedule and amount displayed and agreed to by the student at the time of enrollment.
7. Mandatory Refund Policy
The Mississippi Proprietary School and College Registration Law requires all proprietary schools registered with the state of Mississippi to utilize the refund policy as stated in section 75-60-18 of the law. SECTION 4. Section 75-60-18, Mississippi Code of 1972, is as follows:
Each institution is required to take and keep a record of student attendance for each individual course meeting.
When refunds are due, they shall be made within thirty (30) days of the last day of attendance if the student has provided the institution with written notification of withdrawal. All refunds shall be made without requiring a request from the student within thirty (30) days from the date that the institution terminates the student or determines withdrawal by the student based on last day of attendance. In any event, all refunds shall be made within sixty (60) days of the student's last day of attendance. Any unused portion of fees and other institutional charges shall be refunded as follows:
a) Refunds for Classes Cancelled by the Institution
If tuition and fees are collected in advance of the starting date of a program and the institution cancels the class, one hundred percent (100%) of the tuition and fees collected shall be refunded. The refund shall be made within thirty (30) days of the planned starting date.
b) Refunds for Students Who Withdraw on or Before First Day of Class
If tuition processing fees are collected in advance of the starting date of classes and the student does not begin classes or withdraws on the first day of classes, no more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of the tuition and processing fees may be retained by the institution. The refund shall be made within thirty (30) days of the class starting date.
c) Refunds for Students Who Enrolled Prior to Institution Visit
Students who have not visited the institution prior to enrollment will have the opportunity to withdraw without penalties within three (3) days following a documented attendance at a regularly scheduled orientation or a documented tour of the facilities and inspection of the equipment. Institutions are required to keep records of students' initial visits and orientation sessions.
d) Refunds for Students Who Withdraw After Instruction Begins
Contractual obligations beyond twelve (12) months are prohibited. The refund policy for students attending proprietary institutions who incur financial obligations for a period of twelve (12) months or less shall be as follows:
- After the first day of classes and during the first ten percent (10%) of the period of financial obligation, the institution shall refund at least ninety percent (90%) of the tuition.
- After the first ten percent (10%) of the period of financial obligation and until the end of the first twenty-five percent (25%) of the period of obligation, the institution shall refund at least fifty percent (50%) of the tuition.
- After the first twenty-five percent (25%) of the period of financial obligation and until the end of the first fifty percent (50%) of the period of obligation, the institution shall refund at least twenty-five percent (25%) of the tuition.
- After the first fifty percent (50%) of the period of financial obligation, the institution may retain one hundred percent (100%) of the tuition.
8. Attendance and Participation
Students are expected to maintain regular participation and satisfactory progress in all required course activities, including scheduled instructional or clinical components applicable to their program. Students must complete all required course hours and program components to be eligible for graduation.
9. Graduation Requirements
To graduate, the student must:
- Complete all required course hours and coursework.
- Successfully pass required examinations and skills assessments.
- Complete all required virtual and in-person clinical components applicable to the student's program.
- Complete required live procedures when applicable.
- Fulfill all financial obligations to Coastal Medical Training Institute.
This School is licensed by the Mississippi Commission on Proprietary School and College Registration, Certificate No. 708. Licensure indicates only that minimum standards have been met; it is not an endorsement or guarantee of quality. Licensure is not equivalent to or synonymous with accreditation by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
10. Student Agreement and Catalog Acknowledgment
I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I have received and reviewed the current Coastal Medical Training Institute School Catalog and this Enrollment Agreement. I understand and agree to the tuition, fees, payment obligations, refund policy, program requirements, instructional format, graduation requirements, and policies applicable to my enrollment.
I understand that Mississippi students enrolled in programs requiring hands-on clinical training must complete both the required Virtual Interactive Clinical Training and the required in-person clinical/lab training at CMTI's Gulfport, Mississippi location when applicable to their enrollment. I understand that applicable clinical/lab fees and required clinical components must be completed before a Certificate of Completion may be issued.
I understand that my signature confirms my acceptance of the terms of this Enrollment Agreement and my acknowledgment of receipt and review of the current CMTI School Catalog.
11. School Representative Agreement
On behalf of Coastal Medical Training Institute, I confirm that the above-named student has been accepted into the selected program and that the applicable enrollment documents have been provided.
